Technology Entrepreneur & Engineer

Samie Chuku

Builder. Engineer. Founder.

I'm a technology entrepreneur and engineer with a passion for building practical systems that solve real problems. My work spans embedded systems, IoT, connected mobility, and full-stack software — from the hardware layer to the product layer.

Curious by nature. Builder by choice.

Samie Chuku is a technology entrepreneur and engineer with a passion for building practical systems that solve real problems. He works across the full spectrum of technology — from embedded systems and IoT hardware to software platforms and connected mobility solutions.

His core belief is that the best technology is invisible: it works reliably, integrates naturally, and creates genuine value for the people who use it. This philosophy shapes every project he touches — whether designing telematics infrastructure, building web platforms, or exploring new hardware concepts in the lab.

Samie's work spans product ideation, engineering, and commercialisation — the full arc from "what if?" to "what's next?" He is equally comfortable at a whiteboard as he is in a development environment, and he believes that the strongest technical decisions are made by people who understand both the problem and the constraints.

Outside of building things, he is drawn to the intersection of engineering and entrepreneurship — the place where technical possibility meets real-world opportunity. He reads widely, thinks carefully, and holds the view that the most important skill a technologist can develop is knowing which problems are worth solving.

Based in Ontario, Canada, Samie is always open to conversations about technology, startups, and ideas at the edge of what's possible.

What I Care About

The principles I return to whenever I'm deciding how to spend my time and energy.

Problem First

I don't start with technology — I start with the problem. Understanding what's actually broken, and why, is the most underrated part of building anything.

End-to-End Thinking

I'm interested in how things connect — how a signal from a sensor becomes a decision in a dashboard, and how that decision creates value for a person.

Precision Over Speed

Moving fast matters. But building something correctly the first time usually moves faster in the long run than fixing mistakes made in a hurry.

Continuous Learning

Technology changes. Staying relevant means staying curious — reading, experimenting, and being comfortable saying "I don't know yet."

Honest Communication

Good engineering decisions require good information. I prefer direct, transparent communication — about progress, constraints, and trade-offs.

Long-Term Thinking

The most meaningful things take time. I'm more interested in building something durable than something fast, and in compounding progress over time.

Milestones Along the Way

A rough map of the path so far — with plenty more to come.

2018

Started in Software Engineering

Began a structured journey into computer science and software development — learning the fundamentals while building the first personal projects.

2020

First Embedded Systems Project

Built a distributed sensor network for environmental monitoring using low-power microcontrollers and custom firmware — the beginning of a lasting interest in hardware.

2021

Expanded into IoT Development

Deepened expertise in connected device development, exploring communication protocols, edge computing, and cloud integration for IoT systems.

2022

Connected Mobility & Telematics

Began focused exploration of vehicle telematics, GPS tracking, and connected mobility — understanding how data from vehicles can create intelligent fleet and consumer experiences.

2023

First Full Product Launch

Took a software platform from initial concept through engineering, testing, and deployment — learning what it really takes to ship something people actually use.

2024

Founded First Technology Venture

Moved from engineering contributor to company founder — taking on the commercial, operational, and strategic dimensions of building a technology business from scratch.

2025

Scaling Across New Verticals

Expanded into adjacent product opportunities and innovation projects, applying accumulated engineering and entrepreneurial experience to new problem spaces.

2026

Launching SamiesMove.com

Building this site as the central home for projects, ideas, writing, and future ventures — a single place for everything being built and everything coming next.
